TRACK RULES

 

MAIN TRACK RULES

  1. No unlicensed person to use the track.
  2. All safety gear (including vests) are to be correctly worn at all times. Helmets to be done up, no shorts, thongs, sandals etc.
  3. No working inside the hats. Persons not adhering will be penalised.
  4. All horses must be hoppled (except trotters)
  5. No jog carts to be used on the main track
  6. The track opening time is as follows:   
    April to October Tuesday & Thursday: daylight - 12pm and 3pm - dark
    Nov - March Tuesday and Thursday: Daylight - 12pm - 4pm Dark
    Wednesday & Friday: daylight - 11am
    Saturdays and  Mondays: daylight - 11am
    Sundays Daylight - 10am

    CLOSED RACE DAYS - 9.00am (depending on weather conditions)
  7. All other rules and regulations as laid down by RWWA and the Bunbury Trotting Club must be followed.

PLEASE NOTE: NO VEHICLES ARE TO BE TAKEN INTO THE HORSE STALL AREA
 

TOP JOG TRACK

  1. No unlicensed person to use the track.
  2. All safety gear (including vests) are to be correctly worn at all times. Helmets to be done up, no shorts, thongs, sandals etc.
  3. When leading a horse, work on the outside of the track
  4. Jogging machines MUST work on the outside of the track
  5. Jogging machines can only be used on the track as follows:
    1 May - 31 August - after 7.30am
    1 Sept - 30 April - after 6.30am
  6. Only purpose built jogging machines to be used on the track
  7. All other rules and regulations as laid down by RWWA and the Bunbury Trotting Club must be followed.

CLOSED EVERY DAY FROM 12 NOON - 3PM

TRACKWORK IN THE DARK

Any licensee who wishes to conduct training during darkness SHALL :

  1. Inspect the track before training to ensure awareness of possible obstacles (eg cones, sticks etc).
  2. Whilst driving a horse during darkness wear an approved coloured high visibility vest.
  3. Ensure that whilst being driven during darkness a horse has an approved lighting set fitted, which comprises a front facing green constant light and a red flashing light displayed at the rear of the sulky.

The provisions of this Policy do not apply where the Stewards have ruled that sufficient artificial lighting exists.
